Freelance Web Scraping Engineer (Vibe Coding)
✨ Why This Is a Good Vibe Coding Job
Why This Is a Good Vibe Coding Job: Mindrift explicitly hires for 'Vibe Code' specialists, framing the developer as an 'AI Pilot' who orchestrates LLMs and automation agents. By integrating tools like OpenRouter and Apify, the role prioritizes high-level strategy and prompt engineering over tedious syntax. It's a rare chance to work in a hybrid AI-human environment designed for maximum developer leverage.
The Mission
Mindrift is searching for 'AI Pilots' to join their Tendem project, where you'll lead data extraction efforts by collaborating with AI agents. Instead of just writing scripts, you'll act as a conductor, using your domain expertise to guide AI through complex web architectures and ensure high-quality data output. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of data delivery, transforming messy web content into structured, actionable intelligence.
The Tech Stack & Vibe
You'll leverage a modern toolkit featuring OpenRouter, LLMs, and Apify to handle dynamic JavaScript sites and structured data processing. The workflow is built around vibe coding principles: using natural language and AI frameworks to solve data engineering challenges quickly and at scale. While a foundation in Python (BeautifulSoup, Selenium) is necessary, your primary value lies in your ability to steer AI tools to handle parallelization, batching, and failure monitoring.
Why Join
This is a remote, flexible freelance opportunity that rewards technical precision and critical thinking. You’ll get to define the future of hybrid AI work, scaling operations through automation while earning performance-based bonuses for your architectural oversight. It's an ideal role for developers who want to move away from line-by-line coding and into a role as a high-level system orchestrator.
