The Role As AI becomes more ubiquitous across our investment teams, assets and operating backbone, Starwood is transforming the way we operate. We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Product Manager to spearhead AI initiatives, lead product innovation, and drive business growth. In this role, you will work directly with investment professionals, asset managers, and our operations teams to identify AI use cases, drive prioritization and build requirements for our engineering team. This role reports to the COO’s Office and will directly partner with our CTO, Data Science, and Business Operations teams. What You'll Do Use Case Identification: Partner with team members across Acquisitions, Asset Management, Capital Markets, and Corporate Functions to understand existing workflows, identify automation opportunities, drive prioritization and build requirements documents for engineering Drive End-to-End Execution: Prototype and vibe code AI-powered solutions for early user testing, validate model performance, and partner with AI/ML engineers to develop proof of concept Partner with Engineering: Lead cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML and front-end engineering to bring polished, production-ready AI products to the business User Engagement: Serve as a resource and coach for employees looking to integrate AI tools into their work Documentation: Document use cases and best practices to support firm-wide AI adoption Thought Leadership: Collaborate with leadership on strategic AI initiative What We're Looking For Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Computer Science, Data Science, MBA, MS in Finance, Real Estate, Business Analytics, or related field) or undergraduate program (Computer Science, Business, Economics, Information Technology, Data Science, or another related field) Minimum 2 years of prior work experience or 1 summer internship for undergraduates Hands-on proficiency with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, automation platforms) Working knowledge of LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic systems and MCP – enough to make informed build vs. buy decisions and have technical conversations with AI/ML engineers Strong interest in real estate, finance, or private equity—prior experience in these areas is a plus but not required Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, open-minded approach Comfortable working with colleagues at all levels, from junior team members to senior executives Available to work on-site in our New York offices Why This Role This position is perfect for candidates who: Want hands-on experience creating AI workflows and products Have a background in technology and want meaningful exposure to how a leading investment firm operates Come from a PE, Finance, or Real Estate background and are interested in driving AI adoption at an investment firm Beyond the career positioning, you'll get: Direct exposure to a leading global real estate investment firm Opportunity to work across multiple business units and asset classes Daily interaction with professionals at all levels of the organization Potential pathway to full-time employment with the firm

Requirements
