The Mission

In this role, you aren't just an engineer; you are an AI architect working at the intersection of client strategy and data execution. You will lead the charge in designing high-quality data workflows that ensure enterprise-grade GenAI models are accurate, reliable, and performant. Your primary goal is to take ambiguous client needs and translate them into automated, scalable pipelines that deliver elite-tier datasets for model training.

The Tech & Vibe

This is not a traditional 'grind-out-code' position. While Python and SQL are helpful tools in your belt, Appen specifically values your ability to 'vibe code'—leveraging AI-assisted tools to build reusable quality frameworks and validators. You will be working deeply with:

• GenAI & LLM Training: Shaping the annotation and evaluation workflows that define model behavior.
• Pipeline Automation: Reducing manual rework by building observable, reproducible data systems.
• Solutions Engineering: Acting as a technical consultant for client ML teams to optimize their data strategy.
