Senior Product Manager (m/f/d)
About This Role
About us: At Saltz, we believe the best ingredients should be available in one marketplace. For too long, the culinary world has been tangled in a web of distributors and hidden costs, separating passionate chefs from incredible producers. We're changing that. Saltz is the digital marketplace where quality and creativity connect directly. We empower chefs to discover and source an incredible variety of fresh ingredients from local farms to international craftsmen with complete transparency. For producers, we unlock a global market overnight. We recently closed a €20M Series A - backed by top European venture funds and the operators who built Europe's biggest consumer marketplaces. Our vision is to connect thousands of suppliers with thousands of chefs across hundreds of cities, building the new standard for how the world sources food. About the role You'll own critical parts of a two-sided marketplace that connects restaurants with food producers across multiple countries. Expect to solve very different problems in the same week: building new product capabilities from scratch, scaling what's already working, and navigating the tensions that come with a multi-stakeholder marketplace. This isn't a role where you inherit a stable product and optimize metrics at the margins. We're still shaping core parts of the platform – how suppliers onboard, how chefs discover and order, how cross-border logistics work behind the scenes. You'll have real influence over what Saltz becomes. What you will do Own one or more product areas end-to-end – from discovery and strategy through to delivery and iteration. Deeply understand both sides of the marketplace: what restaurants need when sourcing ingredients and what producers need to sell efficiently at scale. Stay in close, daily contact with users to deeply understand their needs and pain points, and turn those insights into clear product requirements, hypotheses, and experiments. Work closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to ship solutions that move business metrics. Make deliberate prioritization decisions grounded in business impact, user value, and technical feasibility – and clearly communicate the trade-offs. Define success metrics for your product areas and use them to iterate quickly. Have a strong, hands-on understanding of latest tech (incl. AI/ML) and actively use them to improve how we build, operate, and serve users. What you need Experience in Product Management, ideally working on B2B platforms, marketplaces, or multi-stakeholder products. Track record of owning product areas end-to-end – you've shaped strategy, shipped solutions, and been accountable for results. Comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete inputs – you find the signal, use data where needed, and make clear decisions to move things forward. Ability to work across complex problem spaces where supply-side and demand-side needs don't always align. Clear, structured communication: you can align a room, write a sharp spec, and give honest feedback. Highly technical – strong understanding of modern tech stacks and architecture decisions, comfortable writing basic queries (with or without AI), and able to quickly “vibe-code” prototypes to test ideas. Nice-to-have: Experience in food, logistics, supply chain, or other operationally complex industries. What we offer Salary range: EUR 60,000 - 96,000 gross yearly Freedom to own your decisions and experiment – we're looking for driven experts who help us figure out what to do, not people waiting to be told. Hard problems at serious scale as our platform is growing 3× year over year. Remote-first, your way. You organise your work around your life, not the other way around. Equity + growth budget - stock options and a learning budget so you grow with the company. Regular offsites and gatherings to connect, celebrate, and push each other forward. Flat, fast, and transparent. Ideas win on merit here. Saltz Marketplace, UAB is an equal opportunity employer. We respect and empower each individual who joins us. Saltz Marketplace, UAB commits to a transparent, inclusive, non-discriminatory recruitment process and employment.
