Versant is seeking a visionary Senior Engineer to lead the charge in merging cybersecurity with autonomous system design. Rather than focusing on traditional manual patching, you will be architecting scalable Python services and GitHub Action patterns that automate the heavy lifting of security operations. This is a high-impact position where you will set the engineering standards for how a major media organization interacts with cloud infrastructure and automated governance.

AI-First Engineering & Agentic Workflows

This role is specifically designed for those who excel at leveraging LLMs to accelerate development. You will build and deploy governed AI agents that utilize RAG and prompt engineering to remediate cloud risks and enhance incident response. The goal is to move beyond static scripts toward dynamic, agentic workflows that can interpret security needs and act within safe, human-in-the-loop guardrails.

Tech Stack and Leadership

• Cloud & IaC: Master AWS security using Terraform to build resilient, policy-driven infrastructure.
• DevSecOps: Optimize GitHub Actions to create secure, frictionless CI/CD pipelines.
• AI Integration: Design reusable patterns for tool-calling and LLM orchestration to empower internal teams.
• Mentorship: Act as a technical leader, guiding the organization toward responsible AI-assisted development and mature "vibe coding" practices.
