About the Role
We’re looking for you—a skilled Staff Engineer passionate about building innovative data solutions. In this role, you’ll design and maintain products that power dentsu’s B2B marketing vision using cutting-edge cloud technologies. You’ll collaborate with a team that values creativity, problem-solving, and delivering real business impact.

What You’ll Do
- Lead project initiatives and foster collaboration across teams.
- Mentor and support engineers as they grow in their careers.
- Partner with stakeholders—Product, Data, Design, and Executive teams—to solve technical challenges and strengthen data infrastructure.
- Create monthly data assets and enhance processes to effectively leverage these resources in meeting client requirements.
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure seamless data sharing.
- Communicate clearly and document processes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work on dentsu's Snowflake Native App framework and search innovative solutions.
- Use Agile practices and AI tools to deliver features quickly and effectively.
- Apply best practices throughout the development lifecycle: design, implement, test, review, and deploy using CI/CD.
- Participate in quality assurance, automated testing, and on-call support.
- Help onboard clients and collaborate with client solution teams.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and innovative team culture.
What You Bring
- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems—or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 6+ years of software development experience.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Technical Foundations: Solid understanding of database fundamentals, SQL, and relational/non-relational data models.
- Programming: Expertise in Python (Java is a plus).
- Big Data: Experience with big data platforms (Snowflake preferred).
- DevOps/Tools: Familiarity with Agile development, version control (Git, Bitbucket), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Specialized Knowledge: Proficient in Vibe Coding.
- Containers: Knowledge of containerized environments (Snowpark preferred; Docker is a plus).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Cloud: Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP also welcome).
- Workflows: Understanding of data workflows (Airflow, Snowflake streams/tasks) and distributed systems.
- Bonus: Unix command line and Bash scripting skills are a plus.

Work Environment and Location
At dentsu, we believe great work happens when we’re connected. Our way of working combines flexibility with in-person collaboration to spark ideas and strengthen our teams.
- Office Attendance: Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices (currently Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City) are required to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles).
- Remote Work: Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $113K - $150,000 (Placement based on experience, knowledge, and skills).
