The Role

Adapt is looking for a Systems Engineer to architect the backbone of their AI agent platform. This isn't just about managing servers; it's about building a seamless environment where LLMs can execute complex tasks within sub-second microVMs. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of your work, from initial customer discovery to the final launch post, ensuring that infrastructure remains in service of the user experience.

Tech & Vibe Coding Integration

The stack is built for performance and scale, utilizing Rust and Go for core services with TypeScript as the connective tissue. Because the company builds for AI agents, they lean heavily into the vibe coding ecosystem. Engineers are empowered with elite tools—including Cursor and Claude Code—to accelerate development. However, you must go beyond just prompting; you are expected to deeply understand the code your AI assistants help generate, especially when dealing with Linux kernel internals and Firecracker orchestration.

Growth & Impact

As an early hire, you will have a direct hand in shaping the engineering culture of a startup where infrastructure is the product. You will move fast, shipping frequently and scaling systems on GCP and Kubernetes.
