The Role

EdgeConneX is seeking a hands-on leader to guide a lean team of DevOps, MLOps, and DataOps specialists. As a player-coach, you will bridge the gap between high-level architectural strategy and technical execution, ensuring that the company’s multi-cloud platform is both robust and innovative. You'll spend your time mentoring engineers, reviewing code, and staying deeply involved in the daily engineering work across Azure, AWS, and GCP.

AI-Native Engineering

This position is specifically designed for a leader who treats natural language as the ultimate programming interface. You won't just be using LLMs for code completion; you will be architecting the custom infrastructure that makes AI tools more effective, including the design of custom MCP servers. By automating cloud governance and CI/CD via GitHub Actions and Terraform, you'll empower your team to focus on intent and design rather than manual syntax.

Core Tech & Impact

You’ll operate across a massive multi-cloud footprint, modernizing legacy systems and building new foundations for AI-driven workloads. Key responsibilities include:

• Modern DevOps: Architecting Kubernetes environments (EKS/AKS) using GitOps and ArgoCD.
• AI Infrastructure: Building production-grade MLOps pipelines using tools like MLflow or Azure ML to operationalize AI workloads.
• Data Strategy: Overseeing DataOps platforms to ensure reliability for business-critical data pipelines.
• Leadership: Driving a full-scale migration to GitHub Enterprise and setting the standard for how AI-assisted engineering teams should function at scale.
