This isn't just about training models; it's about building complex, multi-agent systems that can reason, use tools, and solve high-impact problems at a massive retail scale. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle, from the initial architectural 'vibe' to production deployment.

The Vibe Coding Tech Stack

This role is built for those who use AI to build AI. You will leverage Walmart's internal LLM Gateway to safely access top-tier models while using frameworks like LangChain, Pydantic AI, and RAG. The workflow emphasizes high-level system design—architecting end-to-end ML pipelines and agentic evaluation frameworks—over traditional manual coding. You'll work across AWS and GCP, utilizing modern tools like PyTorch, SBERT, and vector search to create intelligent, tool-calling assistants.

Leadership and Impact

As a Principal lead, you will:

• Design and ship autonomous conversational and predictive agents that improve the lives of millions of associates.
• Establish the gold standard for agent performance, code quality, and multi-step reasoning accuracy.
• Mentor senior talent in the art of AI-assisted development and advanced modeling techniques.
• Influence the long-term strategy for simulation, reinforcement learning, and computer vision at an enterprise scale.
