About This Role

(Fully remote, async-first, DevTool SaaS, 32-40h/week, time zones: UTC-3 to UTC+3) Location: This is a FULLY remote role, but you must be within UTC-3 to UTC+3 to work with your team, peers, and internal customers. What you'll do As a Designer, you will lead design of the Checkly product. You’ll drive the vision, and help shape the future of our platform experience end to end. You will report to our CPO, Alberto, and work closely with our Product Managers and Engineers. Lead the product design of Checkly's platform. You'll be the go-to person for the team when they need design decisions about user experience and the interface. Bridge design and development by prototyping in code when needed and collaborating closely with frontend engineers on implementation. Shape the design vision for new features, contributing from early exploration through implementation and iteration. Be in close contact with support and customer success teams and our users to really understand customers' problems. Co-develop and maintain our growing design system with Engineering, ensuring scalability, accessibility, and performance. Champion high standards of UI/UX and developer experience across teams while being pragmatic about tradeoffs. Use AI tools daily as a core part of your workflow, from generating and iterating on designs to prototyping and writing code, and actively push the boundaries of what AI-assisted design can look like. What we use Claude for almost everything. Slack for day to day comms. Figma for almost everything. Miro for white boarding. Vue for frontend dev. Tailwind as base for component library. Vercel for deployment & previews. Notion for all document related stuff. Multiple AI tools such as Pencil, Figma AI, Raycast, etc. What you should have Experience designing data-heavy screens: graphs, tables, charts, etc. Experience working on design-systems. Past experience as a frontend engineer or ability to (vibe) code if needed. Deep comfort working with AI tools every day, using them to move faster, write and iterate on code, and stay ahead of the curve Ability to visualize and prototype your ideas quickly and confidently work with AI to move faster. Not in love with your own work and know when to move on. Great at juggling multiple projects at once. Excellent spoken and written English skills. Ability to be autonomous and self-motivated in a remote work environment, while you also enjoy getting to know your colleagues and helping others. What we pay Fair, competitive, and transparent pay is very important for us. Therefore we work with a standardized salary calculator that includes several factors such as seniority level as well as location. For this role, the range is €78k-€91k for a Senior Designer in a similar cost of market as UK, Germany etc, + stock options. €70k-€82k for Senior Designer in a similar cost of market as Spain, Poland, Ukraine etc, + stock options. Responsibilities

The Senior UX Designer will lead the design vision and execution for the Checkly platform, acting as the primary design decision-maker and collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers. Responsibilities include shaping new features from exploration to implementation, maintaining the design system, and championing high UI/UX and developer experience standards.

Requirements

Candidates must have experience designing data-heavy interfaces like graphs and tables, along with experience in design systems and the ability to code prototypes when necessary. A deep comfort level working daily with AI tools to accelerate workflow and strong autonomy in a remote setting are essential requirements.
