As the inaugural Security Engineer, you will transition the company from reactive measures to a proactive, technical defense strategy. This isn't a paperwork role; it’s a hands-on engineering position focused on securing a product where AI-assisted development is the primary engine of growth.

Guarding the Prompt-to-Production Pipeline

Your mission is to enable speed without sacrificing safety. You will manage the entire vulnerability lifecycle across AWS and GCP while specifically addressing the risks unique to vibe coding—such as hallucinated packages or insecure AI-generated patterns. Key focuses include:

• Automated Defense: Implementing SAST/SCA tools optimized for AI-assisted workflows to catch secrets and bugs early.
• Infrastructure Hardening: Securing cloud footprints and SaaS integrations like GitHub and Slack against modern threat vectors.
• AI Guardrails: Creating "safe by default" boundaries for internal AI agents and LLM-based tools used by both devs and non-devs.

This role offers the opportunity to build a security program from scratch at a high-growth Series C company. You will work alongside an internal AI enablement team to ensure that as the company nears its $100M ARR milestone, its innovative spirit remains protected by world-class identity controls and modern configuration baselines.
