Manager - Product Design

The Role

BrowserStack is seeking a hybrid Design Manager to oversee their Automation Testing suite. This isn't a traditional management position; you will act as a "player-coach" responsible for bridging the gap between high-level product strategy and hands-on technical execution. You will lead the transition toward agentic workflows, ensuring that the design team produces output that is not only visually stunning but also technically robust and ready for production-level integration.

AI-First Workflows & Vibe Coding

As a core part of the leadership team, you will champion "vibe coding" practices, leveraging tools like Cursor, Lovable, and Claude Code to rapidly prototype and build complex product workflows. You will be responsible for evolving design systems so they are easily consumable by AI agents, effectively architecting the logic that powers modern UI challenges. This role prioritizes technical literacy and the ability to move from a natural language prompt to a functional MVP with high speed and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Strategic Design: Oversee the evolution of global testing products and AI-powered visual tools.
• Architect Agentic Workflows: Design and implement the internal processes that allow for AI-assisted handoffs and rapid feature delivery.
• Mentor & Scale: Guide a team of designers in mastering AI-first methodologies while maintaining a high bar for visual excellence and functional consistency.
• Bridge Design and Engineering: Use your background in frontend or backend development to solve high-stakes technical UI challenges alongside engineering teams.
